N GIN G TIP S FROM A PRO
g wired frames accurately with these steps from Barry Whistler,
er of the Barry Whistler Gallery in Dallas.
1
. Hold the art to the desired height; mark the top of the frame on the
wall with a sticky note. Measure the art’s width and sofa’s length; use
those dimensions to mark where the left and right sides of the art will be.
2
. Hold the wire up,
right,
and use a tape measure to measure the
distance from the wire to the top of the frame.
3
. Go back to the wall and measure the figure down from the top sticky
note. Mark this spot—it’s where you’ll pound in a nail.
Hammer in the nail and hang the art, using a level to ensure
evenness. Remove sticky notes.
